When I stumble upon a parking spot right in front of the door of the store I need to go to. It’s like space is on my side. But don’t get me started on parallel parking.

Why do we call it “outer space” when it’s really just “space”? It’s not like there’s an “inner space” that we’re comparing it to. Maybe we should just call it “the final frontier” like Captain Kirk.

Have you ever looked up at the stars and wondered if there’s life out there? I do, all the time. And then I wonder if they have their own version of Netflix. I mean, everyone needs downtime, right?

Sometimes I feel like I’m just a tiny speck in the vastness of space. And then I realize that I’m a speck with the power to make a difference in the world. That’s pretty cool, if you ask me.

Speaking of space, why do we need so much of it? We’ve built these massive houses with tons of rooms that we hardly ever use. Maybe we should downsize and use the space we have more efficiently. Or we could just use it to store more snacks.

In the end, space is all about perspective. It can make us feel small or it can make us feel powerful. It can inspire us to reach for the stars or it can make us appreciate the little things in life. So go ahead, embrace your space and make the most of it.

Quote of the week

“Within a system which denies the existence of basic human rights, fear tends to be the order of the day. Fear of imprisonment, fear of torture, fear of death, fear of losing friends, family, property or means of livelihood, fear of poverty, fear of isolation, fear of failure. A most insidious form of fear is that which masquerades as common sense or even wisdom, condemning as foolish, reckless, insignificant or futile the small, daily acts of courage which help to preserve man’s self-respect and inherent human dignity. It is not easy for a people conditioned by fear under the iron rule of the principle that might is right to free themselves from the enervating miasma of fear. Yet even under the most crushing state machinery courage rises up again and again, for fear is not the natural state of civilized man
