My heart is heavy with sadness and a deep sense of contemplation as I reflect upon the recent presidential election. Emmerson Mnangagwa, claimed victory in a highly disputed election. The news of another five years under Mnangagwa’s leadership has left many of us filled with despair and a sense of hopelessness.

ZANU PF’s Double Standards Exposed

It comes as no surprise that the ruling party in Zimbabwe, Zanu PF, is once again demonstrating their hypocritical nature. They have always been quick to judge and shame CCC leader Nelson Chamisa whenever he pleads to South Africa for help, going as far as to label him as unpatriotic. Yet, when it comes to their own actions, they conveniently brush them off as mere solidarity messages. It is time to expose their hypocrisy and hold them accountable for their words and actions.

Hypocrites!!

Zimbabwe’s political scenery has always been marred by accusations, manipulations, and power struggles among its various political parties. One such party, the ruling ZANU PF, has frequently resorted to shame and judgment when its opposition’s leader, Nelson Chamisa , seeks international assistance to address the challenging socio-political situation in the country. This behavior, exhibited by ZANU PF, showcases their hypocritical nature, as they fail to see their own faults and contradictions while pointing fingers at others.

LIMITING LIVE STREAMING OF COURT PROCEEDINGS HINDERS TRANSPARENCY AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

In recent days, the issue of live streaming court proceedings in Zimbabwe has come to the forefront, causing a stir among media organizations and proponents of open justice. I believe Bulawayo High Court’s refusal to grant Asakhe Online permission to live stream the ongoing election petition cases is a clear infringement on the right to access information and the work of media organizations.
