Prompt: What’s the oldest thing you are wearing today?

Well, I have to admit, I feel a bit attacked by this question. Why does everyone assume that just because I’m a millennial, everything I wear is brand spanking new?I’ll have you know that I am quite fond of some of my old threads, thank you very much.

That being said, the oldest thing I’m wearing today is probably my lucky socks. I don’t even remember when I got them, but they’ve seen me through some tough times. They’re like a trusty old friend that never lets me down…or washes their socks on a regular basis.

And let me tell you, these socks are vintage. They’ve got holes in them that are older than I am. But I refuse to let them go. They’ve got character. They’ve got personality. And, most importantly, they’ve got luck. I’m pretty sure they’re the reason I aced that exam last semester.

So, there you have it. The oldest thing I’m wearing today is my lucky, holey socks. And if you’ve got a problem with that, well…you can just talk to my socks about it. I’m pretty sure they’ll sock it to ya.
